Nuclear Throne will have cooperative multiplayer

Vlambeer has confirmed that its latest game, Nuclear Throne, will feature cooperative multiplayer for up to 4 players. Players will be able to team up either locally or via an internet connection. Local multiplayer is coming soon to the game's Early Access.

The news was confirmed by Vlambeer's Rami Ismail at PAX East over the weekend.

Nuclear Throne is an "action roguelike-like" about mutants murdering each other to rule over a post-apocalyptic world. Multiplayer promises to make the action even more frantic, as players will have to squabble over XP and run the risk of killing each other accidentally (or not so accidentally).

Nuclear Throne is available now to play via Steam Early Access.
