Borderlands and Brothers in Arms developer Gearbox Software will "probably" announce a PS4 and Xbox One game sometime this year.

UPDATE: It seems Pitchford was unhappy with the way one site in particular reported on his next-gen game tease:

ORIGINAL STORY: Responding to fans on Twitter, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford hinted at when we might learn what the studio has in the works.

"We're working on next-gen. Platforms TBD. We'll probably announce something later this year," he said.

Gearbox is known to be working on a new Brothers in Arms game, and has said in the past that it has at least two new IPs in the works for next-gen.

Borderlands is not in the works at present, alas.
