According to a post on EA's blog, the update brings eight new plants, ten new zombies and an all-new world map and more.

A few of the new additions were detailed:

  • Citron does a lot of damage to the Mechs throughout Future levels, such as the Robo-Cone Zombie and the Disco-tron 3000.
  • Laser Bean pierces through Shield Zombie’s shield, which is a great way to defeat them.
  • Star-Fruits will shoot stars out all across the board so you can attack zombies in every row.
