Valve’s Dota 2 documentary ‘Free to Play’ hits Steam today, Twitch screening confirmed

Dota 2 documentary Free to Play will launch on Steam today, but if you’d rather watch it in the company of others online, you can watch it on Twitch later this afternoon.

Twitch announced an online viewing party that will take place from 4pm GMT / 9am PDT. The film follows three pro Dota 2 players as they battle for dominance at the first International Championship, and was produced by Valve.

The first screening will be followed by repeat showings and a video of Valve’s live Q&A session with players Dendi, Fear and members of the studio. The session was recorded after the film’s live debut in San Francisco yesterday.
