Lord of the Rings Online players will have a new character class to choose from later this year, according to Turbine’s Aaron Campbell.

The game’s producer dropped the news during the game’s Take The Hobbits To Insengard event on the Bullroarer server.

Current classes to choose from are: Hunter, Guardian, Loremaster, Minstrel, Warden, Champion, Burgler, and Runekeeper.

Campbell wouldn’t go into specifics on the class, but noted he’d spoken with Tolkien Enterprises regarding the class, and it fits within the lore.

At least that gives LOTRO players something else to look forward to this year, along with Update 13.
