Remode to close in March, remaining team will re-focus on funding new IP

Remode Studios has announce it will close its doors in March. The studio was named one of Develop's top 100 hot UK developers last year, but its founders have now revealed that it is shutting shop.

The move was confirmed in a blog post on the Remode Studios site. Penned by studio founders Ella Romanos and Martin Darby, the post explains that since founding in 2007 the team strived for the creation of unique IP, and worked on a string of work-for-hire projects alongside various outfits across the country.

It seems that while the studio is closing, its remaining team is now looking at ways to realise its dream of establishing new IP. The post adds, "However, making our own games remains our goal, so we have made the decision to close down Remode as a work for hire studio and focus on developing new ways to raise resources for IP projects, plans for which will be announced soon."

Romanos offered to help get Remode's staff re-hired, and encourages any company that's currently hiring to get in touch at ella@remodestudios.com.

We'll have more once the new team announces its IP plans.
