Yo-kai Watch localisation hopes rise after Level-5 tweet

Yo-kai Watch looks more and more likely to come west, with developer Level-5 gauging international interest in the 3DS RPG.

"Between the game and the anime, Yo-kai Watch is a success in Japan. Would you like to see Yo-kai Watch in the US/EU?" Level-5 asked on Twitter.

The tweet follows word that Yo-Kai Watch has been trademarked in the US.

Yo-kai Watch, previously anglicised as Youkai Watch, is a 3DS RPG in which players hunt, capture and battle with spirits and other creatures from Japanese folklore.

It sold strongly in Japan, and as Level-5 noted is doing well in transmedia too; a sequel or expanded re-release is expected.
