The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt’s lead gameplay designer Maciej Szcześnik and gameplay producer Marek Ziemak left CD Projekt RED recently to join Anomaly: Warzone Earth team 11 Bit Studios. Szcześnik has now stressed that there is “there is no bad blood,” with his former employer.

Speaking with Eurogamer, Szcześnik explained, “We did everything to make sure nothing bad happens, there is no bad blood. Other people took our responsibilities and it was quite smooth.”

Ziemak interjected, “It wasn’t a surprise for the company,” and explained that the pair slowly left the company over a couple of weeks.

“It wasn’t like … we were gone the next day,” Szcześnik added.

The pair explained that they wanted to take an opportunity to make something new, and Ziemak admitted he was burnt out; having created Witcher games for years. Szcześnik had been a team member since 2004, while Ziemak started there in 2006.

They assured the site that most of their work on The Witcher 3 was done and that the project is in good hands. There has been no arguments or falling out over their departure.

11 Bit is working on something new and undisclosed, but something could drop next month.

Stay tuned.
