Clash of Clans raking in $654,000 a day - report

Clash of Clans developer SuperCell is making some $654,000 per day off its mobile title.

It follows a furore over EA's Dungeon Keeper reboot, which is heavily monetised. I had a little rant about it here.

According to a report by Business Insider the Finnish developer is seeing huge revenue as a result of in-app purchases. The base game itself is free, but stats revealed by AppData suggest that players are spending hundreds of dollars on additional content, boosters and other DLC.

The site claims that Clash of Clans now makes $654,000 a day, while another report by App Annie places the title as the world's third-best performing freemium title, behind GungHo’s Puzzle & Dragons and King’s Candy Crush Saga.
