Elite: Dangerous alpha phase 2.0 out now, adds multiplayer - trailer

Elite: Dangerous has entered its second alpha phase, and Frontier Developments has added multiplayer to the mix. There's even a new dev diary trailer to show PvP in action.

The clip above features insight from David Braben and some gameplay footage.

The Elite: Dangerous alpha now includes free-for-all battles, two-team fights, a co-op event that sees players defending a damaged Federal battlecruiser and improvements to the ‘Pirates and Bounty Hunters’ mode, giving players a more accurate picture of what to expect in the full game.

To gain access to the Elite: Dangerous alpha you'll need to back the game by buying it. Go here if you want to do so.
