Everybody's Gone to the Rapture: 2014 release date 'unrealistic,' says dev

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is currently in development for PS4 and PC over at The Chinese Room, and the studio has now cast doubt on the title releasing in 2014.

If you missed the Everybody's Gone to the Rapture trailer from last year, just hit the link. It's all rather mysterious.

When asked if the game would see the light in 2014 on Twitter, The Chinese Room replied:

Speaking with VG247, The Chinese Room's Dan Pinchbeck said of the game's release window, "Rapture actually wasn't ever slated for a 2014 release - we're still very early in development. So we can confirm it's not going to be out this year. As soon as we do have a launch window, we'll let you know."

Recently, The Chinese Room confirmed that the game's 60-minute time limit has been binned, stating that it didn't make for a good narrative experience.
