Wonder Momo game & anime revival coming from WayForward

DuckTales Remastered developer WayForward Technologies is working on a new game and anime show based within Japan's Wonder Momo beat-em-up series.

The announcement comes from the official Wonder Momo homepage, and confirms that the new game - coming 2014 - will star Momoko, daughter of the original game's star. She's a wannabe idol who develops super powers and then starts fighting things, such as a big T-Rex, as you do. Her main enemy is Warudemon, an alien who decides to invade Earth.

The original Wonder Momo was exclusive to Japan, starting live in Japanese arcades in 1987, before being ported to PC-Engine, otherwise known as TurboGrafx-16.

As part of the series revival, WayForward will develop the new game, and will have a hand in the accompanying anime. There's a pair of debut screens here.
