Earth Defense Force 2025 arrives in North America next month

Earth Defense Force finally has a firm release date on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America.

Destructoid reports D3 Publisher has scheduled the giant insect blaster for February 18.

The first DLC pack, Special Ops, will also release on this date. It packs in five extra missions and will go for $3.

Two more DLC packs, "Mutant Rampage" and "Beyond Despair," will follow in rapid succession - February 25 and March 11 respectively. The later DLC packs are more expensive, at $9 each, but will have 20 missions each.

If that still seems a little too pricey for you, D3 said all packs will be made available in a bundle at an unspecified future date.

Earth Defense 4 - known in Japan as Chikyû Boueigun 4, since they politely ignore western-developed entry Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon - is coming to Europe on February 21, apparently, although we haven't had a press release.
