Battlefield 4: PC server update reportedly breaks spawn mechanic, fix rumoured for today

Battlefield 4's most recent PC server update is said to have botched the shooter's spawn mechanic. Rumblings from the community suggest a fix is coming today.

It follows the release of this Battlefield 4 PC stability patch.

Over on the Battlelog forum, DICE confirmed it had released Battlefield 4's R20 server update yesterday, but there were no formal announcement or patch notes issued.

Over on Reddit, server admin 'Epileino' has since suggested that the update has resulted in these new bugs:

  • “Players unable to spawn after they died.”
  • “Not showing scores on kills & capping flags.”
  • “Player crash to desktop when this happens.”

They added, “Rumour has it that R21 might come out tomorrow,” but it's unclear if this is the case at this time.

It has been suggested that updating a player's Punkbuster files will fix the issue.
