Watch Dogs: pre-delay budget was $68 million, producer claims

Watch Dogs executive producer Stéphane Decroix has revealed game's pre-delay budget, shedding new light on the scale of Ubisoft's cross-gen project.

It follows comments out of Ubisoft explaining the Watch Dogs delay, and stress that the company's aim is to 'win' the next generation with its open world romp.

Now, Nintendo Everything spotted an article from last year, which places a dollar sum on the Watch Dogs project. It came from French business site Challenges, in which Decroix placed Ubisoft's budget at €50 million, which translates to roughly $68 million. The figure doesn't take marketing into account.

As you're no doubt aware there was a tonne of Watch Dogs marketing material released last year, so it'd be interesting to see the combined figure. what do you make of the game's budget?
