Hearthstone closed beta receives last balance update

Blizzard is releasing what it expects will be the final major update for the closed beta of Hearthstone.

The patch addresses several balance issues. It nerfs the Mage's Pyroblast and the Defender of Argus, and improves the effectiveness of Unleash the Hounds and Abusive Sergeant. You can read the full patch notes on Battle.net.

According to Blizzard community manager Zeriyah, the update is expected "sometime this week," as spotted by Eurogamer.

The closed beta period is coming to an end, and Blizzard anticipates that very few card updates will be rolled out once the open beta begins.

Hearthstone is due sometime this year for PC and Mac, with an iPad version to follow later.
