Indie gem Nidhogg now available on Steam

Indie arcade darling, Nidhogg, was finally released onto Steam today.

The game has been available to play at expos and shows for years, and even though its name is revered by fans, until now it hasn't been available to the general public. It's nabbed several indie game awards, from events like IndieCade and the Independent Games Festival.

Nidhogg's appeal is in its simple design but deep strategic possibilities. It's an arcade-styled two-player fencing duel, where each point against your opponent nets you more ground to reach your goal. It takes several well-timed attacks to win a round, giving the game a tug-of-war dynamic.

Nidhogg is available now on Steam for $14.99, but you'll get 20% off until January 21.
