PS4 accounted for 20% of Twitch activity over holidays

PlayStation 4 users accounted for 20% of total Twitch activity over the holidays, the streaming service has confirmed.

The figure comes from the dates between December 23 and January 3.

In a statement sent to us today, Twitch's VP of marketing Matthew DiPietro said, "Ever since we began working with the major console platform companies, we were confident the integration of live broadcasting to Twitch would be a game changer. Based on our success with PlayStation 4, which currently represents twenty percent of our
broadcaster base, our vision was on the mark. We envision a day when broadcasting your gameplay is a ubiquitous piece of the gaming experience. We're well on our way."
