Guerrilla Cambridge recruitment suggests major console project

Killzone: Mercenary developer Guerrilla Cambridge may have a home console release in the works, if recruiting descriptions are to be believed.

In a couple of job ads, the developer makes several comments which suggest whatever it is hiring for is something more substantial than a Vita title.

A senior environment artist ad calls for "PS3/PS4 quality texturing" and "development experience on recent AAA console games".

Meanwhile, a senior graphics programmer ad mentions working with "an established rendering engine, on a major future project".

It's easy to put two and two together and come up with five, where five is "a new PlayStation 4 game built on an existing engine", probably Killzone: Shadow Fall's.

Tempering this enthusiasm is the observation that Guerrilla Cambridge has not produced a major triple A console release since the PS2 era, and spends a lot of time jobbing for other studios in Sony's stable. As such, it may be hiring for contributions to other studios' games.

Thanks, Legendaryboss.
