Nippon Ichi teases new title for 2014

Disgaea developer Nippon Ichi has confirmed a mysterious image on its New Year's card refers to an as yet unannounced title.

According to Gematsu, Nippon Ichi said a new piece of artwork on its New Year's card shows off three characters associated with a "new title".

The developer recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, releasing a slew of titles in rapid succession including Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness, something of a celebration of the series as a whole; The Guided Fate Paradox, which arrived in the west in November; and the gorgeous Battle Princess of Arcadias, which has not been confirmed for western launch.

In the coming year, fans can look forward to The Witch and the Hundred Knight in March, and Disgaea 4, assuming it makes the crossing.
