Ghosts ‘N Goblins: Demon World Kickstarter pulled over "intellectual property dispute"

Phantasm Studios' Ghosts ‘N Goblins: Demon World Kickstarter has been pulled from the crowdfunding by Capcom. We're assuming it was Capcom, as the notice states it was pulled due to being "the subject of an intellectual property dispute."

The firm said back in October it would produce the title with or without Capcom's blessing, and was asking $50,000 for release onOuya, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and eShop.

Should the project not have been given the go-ahead by Capcom, the team said it would have just tweaked it a bit to include public domain monsters and the like such as: werewolves, demons, skeletons, reapers, ghosts, goblins, etc.

The game had been in pre-production at the time of the Kickstarter being pulled and Phantasm has yet to comment on the matter as of press time.
