Peggle 2 update to add versus duelling mode

Peggle 2 will be updated in the near future with a new head-to-head multiplayer mode.

"While I can’t reveal too much, I’m happy to announce that we’re currently focused on bringing you a multiplayer mode that may sound familiar to Peggle veterans: Duels," Peggle 2 producer Jared Neuss said on Facebook.

"This new mode will enable players to compete against each other, in the same room or across the Internet, head-to-head on the same board. We loved Duel mode in the original Peggle and can’t wait to bring it into the updated world of Peggle 2."

PopCap promised to announce more details soon, and confirmed the mode is coming via a free update, not premium DLC.

The developer is also working on addition content for the arcade puzzler, with Neuss making mention of regular updates which will "expand and add to the world" of Peggle 2.

Peggle 2 is out now, and is a timed Xbox exclusive.
