Crackdown 2 studio hiring for next-gen console project, shipping next year

Crackdown 2 studio Ruffian Games is currently hiring for a variety of roles, a few of which concern a next-gen console product that will ship in 2014. Hear that? It's someone pouring coals into the rumour furnace.

The job ad was posted in the Scottish Games Network classifieds section.

There are three ten month roles available for the project. Ruffian's role descriptor reads, "We need up to 3 engineers for a large C++, next gen console project that we are working on for ship next year."

Rumours have swirled around Crackdown 3 ever since the Xbox One reveal event featured an agility orb graphic. That, and Microsoft's Phil Spencer doesn't stop talking about it. Recently, he suggested that a third Crackdown title would need "the right team."

There's also the time he explicitly stated that the Crackdown series is not dead.

What do you make of the above. Could Crackdown 3 be shipping next year? Let us know below.
