Xbox One consoles available at some Tesco Extra stores for midnight launch

Xbox One will be available midnight tomorrow, November 21 (that's first thing Friday morning by the way) at selected Tesco Extra stores in the UK. They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

A report by MCV states that over 100 Tesco Extra stores will open in the wee hours to sell Xbox One consoles to what I imagine will be very cold, tired people.

Tesco told the site that the offer is good “while stocks last”, so you best get queuing early if you want one people. Stock will be replenished before Christmas however.

The company's Home Entertainment manager Stephen Owusu said in a statement, "The launch of the Xbox One is a massive event for millions of gamers around the world and the console is sure to top many Christmas present lists this year.

"The last Xbox console – the Xbox 360 – was launched eight years ago so there has been a lot of expectation and talk from gamers about this latest version. If the US launch is anything to go by these will fly off the shelves. We have worked closely with Microsoft to ensure we have a good quantity of initial stock but we will be getting more as we get nearer to Christmas.”

There's no list of stores as yet, but there's no harm in asking your local shop.

Will you be going for one of these at midnight Thursday? Let us know below.
