Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition releases this week, pre-load now available

Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition finally has a firm release date, and it's so close we can taste it. It tastes like sunshine, rainbows and old-school tactical CRPG combat, as this launch trailer aptly demonstrates.

Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition will launch on November 15; you can grab it right now for $25 and if you choose to pony up through Beamdog itself, you can preload immediately on Mac and PC. It also available through Steam.

The remake includes all expansions, as well as new party members and modern features like widescreen and more. Android and iPad release dates are still to be confirmed.

The news of a firm release date comes as something of a relief, as a legal scuffle with Atari disrupted of Beamdog's plans to deliver the classic series followed by all-new content.

We still hold out hope for Baldur's Gate 3.
