Volume to star Thomas was Alone narrator Danny Wallace, YouTube's Charlie McDonnell

Volume, from Thomas was Alone creator Mike Bithell, will star Danny Wallace and YouTube's Charlie McDonnell, it has been announced.

Volume is a stealth game which tells the story of Robin Hood (aka Robin of Locksley), but in a near future setting. In it, Robert Locksley is a thief who stumbles upon a volume, which is a simulator used to train the forces of a military coup.

Using the tutorial AI in the program, Locksley decides to "broadcast simulations of robbery against England's wealthiest, becoming the world's first crime let's player," reports Eurogamer.

Danny Wallace, who narrated Thomas was Alone, plays the AI and Locksley is played by McDonnell.

Volume is a timed PlayStation 4 and Vita exclusive for 2014 and after its release will launch a month later on PC and Mac.
