Mega Man 2-5 release on 3DS Virtual Console may take a while, says Capcom

Capcom plans to releases Mega Man Game Boy titles through 3DS Virtual Console, and today, the firm's senior online and community manager Brett Elston noted on Capcom Unity it will be a while before the titles are released.

Mega Man 2-5 are in the pipeline alongside Game Boy Color titles Mega Man Xtreme and Mega Man Xtreme 2.

"These are just a handful of titles in Nintendo's busy Virtual Console schedule," said Elston. "There are new titles releasing each week so that means a bit of a bottleneck. We basically announced these games as soon as it was possible to do so, which means anything already in the pipeline is ahead of all six Mega Man Game Boy titles.

"I wanted to get the word out really early on this since it was cool news. The downside is that means a longer wait."

Super Nintendo title Mega Man X2 is also "likely candidate given that it was on Wii's Virtual Console," but there's no "update just yet," said Elston.

Just keep your blue armor on in the meantime, we reckon.
