Chocobo Racing 3D has been canned on 3DS, original creator Takashi Tokita believes
Chocobo Racing 3D was set to be a Nintendo 3DS revival of Takashi Tokita's PSone original. As far as he's aware Square Enix has nuked the project. Shame, it was looking like a lot of fun too.

Siliconera said that the first Chocobo Racing 3D footage (above) was shown years before Theatrhythm and Barvely Default were revealed, but it was never heard from again.
The site approached Tokita on the matter, and he stated, "The original Chocobo Racing was made by me," Tokita said to Siliconera. "But the one for the 3DS was a project being handled by someone else, and as far as I know, it has been closed. Now, if I had made it, I would have made sure that it came out. Unfortunately I was not!"
