Destiny beta coming with pre-orders, outed by website code - rumour

Destiny developer Bungie could be holding a pre-order beta for its shooter, according to some tell-tale code spotted within the game's website.

The code was spotted by Redditor Patefaps over on the Destiny homepage.

Mention of the beta was found buried within the website's code, lines 1778 to 1780 of which are said to read:

"Pre-order Destiny at select retailers and receive admission to the Destiny Beta. Play it first. Become Legend."

So it could stand to reason that pre-order customers will get first dibs on the beta once it goes live. It's worth noting that the code only appeared on the Canadian and UK versions of the site. It has since been pulled.

We've dropped Activision a line regarding the above, but aren't holding our breath to hear a peep back.
