Amnesia developer teases next game with mysterious website

With Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs out the door, developer and publisher Frictional Games is ready to tease its next project.

The teaser in question is located at the not-so-subtly-named, which features a computer terminal something or other failing to boot up. “Booting system after unexpected shutdown,” reads the page. Following that is a status bar, that at the time of this article, is loaded up to 45%.

The bottom right hand corner shows some garbled up text. The Escapist speculates that it reads “cogito ergo sum” (Rene Descartes’s famous Latin phrase of “I think, therefore I am”) and that Frictional Games’s next game may be about sentient AI. Honestly, I can’t make anything out of the distorted text, so your guess is really as good as mine for the validity of this speculation.
