Valve and Independent Games Festival renew agreement to bring 2014 finalists to Steam

The Independent Games Festival and Valve have renewed a deal struck last year, which will see all shortlisted finalists released on Steam without having to go through the Greenlight process. All main competition finalists will be provided with a distribution deal. Thanks to the 2013 deal, games such as Gone Home, Kentucky Route Zero and Cart Life were all published on the service without needing final approval. The 16th IGF takes place March 17-21, 2014. Finalists will be announced January and submissions are currently open. Thanks, PC Gamer.
