Terraria 1.2 dated for October, big changes incoming

Terraria's 1.2 update has been dated by developer Re-Logic, and it's said to bring about big changes once it drops in October.
Over on Twitter, developer Andrew Spinks confirmed the due date:
It's been in the works since the start of the year and overhauls many aspects of the game.
