Shin Gundam Musou coming to PlayStation 3, Vita

Omega Force is working on a new entry in the Dysnasty Warriors: Gundam series, due on both PlayStation 3 and Vita in December.

The announcement was made in the latest Famitsu, so it has not ben confirmed for the West; Japan gets it on December 19.

Called Shin Gundam Musou - a naming convention Warriors fans may recognise - it makes a return to more realistic visuals and restores Official mode, both of which were missing from the cel-shaded Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3. As well as the SEED, Unicorn and other storylines included in Official, there's an Ultimate mode with an all-new storyline.

Features include Combination Bursts to summon battleships, weapons like Beam Sabers and Beam Rifles, weapon upgrades, and a giant Mobile Suit. The latest entry in the series boasts the largest number of Mobile Suits to date - over 100. Gematsu has a list of which mecha have been confirmed if that's what floats your boat, and who are we to argue.

There have been three Dynasty Warriors: Gundam articles to date. Eurogamer argued recently that the Gundam Musou series is the best entry point for Omega Force's franchise, a claim which almost caused me to send a rude Internet letter.
