Stronghold Crusader 2 turns to crowdfunding

Firefly Studios has turned to game-specific crowdfunding platform Gambitious to fund a sequel to 2002 RTS Stronghold Crusader. Check out the pitch video and a couple of screenshots through the break.
The project was announced about a year ago, and shown at E3 this year. Having reached alpha stage, it requires €100,000 to complete. There are plenty of rewards on offer, too.
Firefly Studios said it has been wanting to make this game for a decade, and that crowdfunding and self-publishing allows it to release the game "when it's done".
