New Xbox 360 update puts end to Microsoft Points, rolling out now

Microsoft has begun rolling out a new Xbox 360 system update that sees the company's Microsoft Points currency come to an end.

The update emerged in the UK yesterday and ensures that every marketplace item will now be priced using Pounds Sterling.

Your existing Microsoft Points balance will also be converted to your local currency and Eurogamer adds that 800 MSP translates to £6.80, while 1200 MSP is worth around £10.20.

Pat's also just nudged me and said that the update is now live in France too.

Are you glad to see the back of Microsoft Points? Let us know what you think below.
