The Dark Eye: Demonicon produces almost-launch trailer

I refuse to believe in The Dark Eye: Demonicon until I can hold it in my hands, but this trailer presents a fairly convincing argument for the existence of the vapourous RPG.

The Dark Eye: Demonicon is due on PC in late October, with a console version to follow in 2014, which is actually kind of amazing given how long the Noumena Studios production has been in the works. Originally intended as a follow-up to The Dark Eye: Drakensang, it was stymied by licensing issues, so the next entry in that series was called Drakensang: The River of Time. The game got back on track when Kalypso got hold of the rights to The Dark Eye in April 2011.

The Dark Eye, called Das Schwarze Auge in Germany, is a pen-and-paper role playing property. Daedalic released a point-and-click set in the same universe earlier this year - The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav.
