Disney Infinity mobile apps detailed

Just in time for this weekend's release, Disney Infinity's two companion mobile apps have been detailed.

Disney mentioned the apps when it first announced toys-to-live sandbox Disney Infinity, but hasn't shared any details up till now. Disney Infinity: Toy Box sounds like quite a robust affair; it allows you to build and edit worlds on your iPad, importing and exporting creations to and from the console game's enponymous sandbox mode.

The free app is due in the next few weeks, and includes over 60 free items; the core game has many more, which players can unlock by playing on their consoles for use in the app. Only Mr Incredible will be available for use in the app, but extra characters can be unlocked using codes found bundled with toys.

Disney Infinity: Action is a movie maker; a library of more than 30 animations, "dozens" of props and a cast line-up including Mr. Incredible, Sulley and Jack Sparrow alows for the creaiton of short stories. Movies can then be shared via Facebook, YouTube or email. The app is out now for iDevice and Windows Phone, and is on its way to Android.

Disney Infinity arrives in North America on August 18 and hits Europe on August 23.
