Knytt Underground, Pure Chess headed to Nintendo eShop

Ripstone is bringing both of its PlayStation network favourites to the Nintendo Network.

The publisher announced that Kyntt Underground is headed to Wii U, while Pure Chess is coming to 3DS and Wii U.

Both titles are expected on the eShop in late 2013 or early 2014.

Ripstone co-founder Phil Gaskell said the announcement demonstrates the small publisher's commitment to helping indies release on as many platforms as possible.

"We hope to announce more games for eShop in the future," he added.

Pure Chess hails from VooFoo Studios, and was developed with assistance from a Gradnmaster. Knytt Underground was created by Nicklas 'Nifflas' Nygren; the Wii U port is being developed by Mathias Kærlev. Both are currently available for PS3 and Vita.

The news was teased during last week's Nintendo Direct presentation.
