Sony imposes PS4 pre-order deadline in UK - report

PS4 pre-orders which are placed after Monday, August 5, may not be fulfilled come launch day, according to retail sources close to CVG.

According to the sources, the demand for the console is causing a possible launch day shortage; therefore if you wish to have one at launch, you will need to order it "before next week" if you want it at release.

The deadline will be imposed across the UK, and likely Europe, according to what the sources told the site, but some retail outlets have been promised additional shelf units for day one.

A spokesperson for Sony declined to comment on the report to CVG.

We contacted Sony as well and were told "no comment" as well.
