Nintendo to allow Wii U & 3DS eShop purchases over mobile this year - report

Nintendo is believed to be working on measures that allow gamers to make Wii U and 3DS eShop purchases over mobile, according to a new report.

Nintendo Life reports - via a translated article from Japanese site Nico Nico - that Nintendo will give consumers the choice of using either their smartphone or PC to make purchases on the eShop. The functionality is said to debut this year.

It's a sensible step, considering Nintendo's Q1 financial report just his morning revealed a 150% increase in the company's digital sales.
