Disney Infinity video shows the benefits of collecting Power Discs

Disney Infinity has a new video available in which Power Discs are explained.

According to the video, players who collect each series will be able to add new powers, gadgets, vehicles, themes, and more to their game.

Circular Power Discs are used to grant your character special power ups that can be used in Play Sets and in the Toy Box.

Hexagonal Power Discs unlock special gadgets, vehicles, and themes to allow for even more personalization in the Toy Box.

Also, if you stack them, you'll get different combinations and get different results. This is explained a bit more through the official website for the toy-game hybrid as well.

Disney Infinity is coming to PC, PS3, Wii, Wii U and Xbox 360 in August with a mobile experience in the works as well.
