Saints Row 4 ending almost included a Bollywood scene

Volition originally planned to end Saints Row 4 with a Bollywood-style song and dance routine.

"It was on our schedule, and we were trying to do it the right way," Volition's creative director Steve Jaros said during a panel at San Diego Comic Con, as reported by Polygon.

The developer planned on a three minute scene, investigating choreography and looking for the right song.

Unfortunately, the idea was scrapped after the motion capture team worked out how expensive and difficult the addition would prove,

"The stars didn't line up," Jaros added, but "the spirit of the Bollywood dance number happens and it is poetry in motion. It is so good."

Saints Row 4 is coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and Windows PC on August 20 in North America and August 23 in Europe. It's not going next-gen because Volition was burnt out on hardware launch titles by PS2 RPG Summoner.
