Drakengard 3 screens mostly full of swordfights

In Drakengard 3, you will spend most of your time doing three things - riding around on a great big dragon bringing fire and misery to your foes; becoming increasingly baffled by the plot; and smacking six kinds of crap out of your enemies on the ground. Only one of these activities is given much shift in this latest batch of screens.

Drakengard 3 is the long-awaited sequel to a series we thought we'd seen the last of when Cavia folded. A number of Cavia alumni and Square Enix favourites are on board the new title, which stars a pair of songstresses called Zero and One. The new character shown below is Four, presumably another of the sisters.

If it's anything like the first two it's going to be brutal and mad and I shall love it. No western release has been confirmed for the PlayStation 3 exclusive; in Japan it's called Drag-on Dragoon 3 and releases on October 31.
