Fruit Ninja dev announces Colossatron: Massive World Threat

You are a giant robotic snake from outer space determined to destroy, and only the forces of General Moustache can stop you. This is the ideal follow up to Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, obviously.

Halfbrick Studios unveiled Colossatron: Massive World Threat at PAX Australia today, revealing an action-packed affair inspired by 80's cartoons and anime.

Players take control of Colossatron and attempt to destroy the city and evade the forces of General Moustache; score is calculated in dollar value of damage caused. By linking together coloured Powernodes, players collect weapons and abilities and combine them to various effect.

The game includes live news coverage from Rick Dalton and Katie Hazard of Metro 6 Action News, and will support some sort of co-operative social feature.

Halfbrick said the new game is coming "soon", and although it didn't formally outline platforms, it did send us some sweet wallpapers for iPad and iPhone, so we're betting on that. Check out some artwork and the trailer below.
