XYZ: Alternative Voices in Game Design exhibition highlights work of female artists and designers

The Museum of Design Atlanta, along with Georgia Tech's Digital Media Program, is to host the XYZ: Alternative Voices in Game Design exhibition. The exhibition aims to highlight the work of female game artists and designers.

The organisers created the exhibition in response to the "popular misconception that women neither play nor create video games.''

They also wish to redefine viewers "perceptions of what games are and can be," by introducing guests to "alternative games that are outside the mainstream and [games] that demonstrate their capacity to convey a diverse range of ideas, experiences and emotions."

The XYZ exhibition will run from July 14-September 1 at the Museum of Design Atlanta.
