Satellite Reign from Syndicate Wars developer 5 Lives Studios lands on Kickstarter
5 Lives Studios has launched its Syndicate successor, Satellite Reign, on Kickstarter as rumored last month.
The game is described as a real-time, class-based strategy game in which players control a team of four agents, with distinct and unique abilities. Each will be collectively battling for control of a "fully simulated, living cyberpunk city."
"The game world is designed to facilitate emergent gameplay, giving you the tools and freedom to play how you want to play, so you can create strategies and scenarios that not even we had anticipated," reads the description.
Players can customize their team "with the strength to destroy their enemies head-on, or hack into its facilities to manipulate their infrastructure without them ever knowing plsyers were even there."
The developer is asking for £350,000 in funding, and as of press time 543 backers have pledged £14,249 with 30 days left on the ticker.
Satellite Reign will be released on Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
