Tales of Symphonia Chronicles may have some new elements

Tales series producer Hideo Baba has hinted that the upcoming remake Tales of Symphonia Chronicles may contain a few brand new additions.

According to Japanese reports on the latest issue of Viva Tales magazine, as translated by Gematsu, Baba said the development team is currently working on additional elements to the game's world.

Namco Bandai has already confirmed the remake includes upgraded visuals, music and cut-ins, and the context of the question posed to Baba makes it seem like he may be referring to new story content, locations or mechanics rather than HD upgrade bells and whistles.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is known as Tales of Symphonia: Unisonant Pack in Japan. It's a PlayStation 3 re-release of Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. It's due in Japan in October and in the west in early 2014.
