Just Cause dev has worked with 'impressive' Xbox One for some time

Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios founder founder Christofer Sundberg has revealed that his team has been working with Xbox One for some time, and that he understands the disappointment following Microsoft's reveal. That said, he's hopeful the company can make amends at E3.

Speaking with Videogamer, Sundberg said, "I understand the disappointment of many fans, but I am confident their disappointment is in the lack of focus on games during the reveal, rather than in the console. I hope that Microsoft will turn that around during E3.

"I personally understand the focus on TV and cross-media entertainment at the reveal. If Microsoft had presented the Xbox One as the 'ultimate gaming console' they’d [have] quickly lost the attention from mainstream media."

Elsewhere, Sundberg confirmed Avalanche had been "working with the Xbox One for quite some time," and added, "Our impressions from first sight until the recent public reveal have been positive. It's an impressive piece of hardware, and powerful hardware will obviously help our games look fantastic."

Avalanche is rumoured to be working on an open-world Mad Max game. It is currently rumoured to be on hold.
