EA teases possibility of new Star Wars: Battlefront game

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen has teased the firm may possibly revisit the Star Wars: Battlefront IP now that the firm has the rights to develop the games from Disney.

Speaking during the Stifel Nicolaus 2013 Internet, Media and Communications Conference today, Jorgensen said the "opportunity to do a new Battlefront or some of the other traditional games that were made, is very exciting."

Jorgensen also said that while the firm may release games alongside the Star Wars movies in the planning stages at Disney, the game wouldn't necessarily be based on the movies.

"These aren't movie games, per se, these are standalone games," Jorgensen said. "But obviously they would come out near the movies and be able to tailgate off of some of the buzz that will be created around the new Star Wars movies."

Jorgensen also announced NBA Live 14 would be released for next-gen systems at the conference.
