Injustice DLC to hit Wii U "this summer"

Fans concerned that the Wii U version of Injustice: Gods Among Us might be left in the cold from this week's newly released and upcoming DLC can breathe a sigh of relief, with Netherrealm confirming the console will get the DLC - but later.

Addressing the query of a concerned user, the official Injustice Twitter account replied to let them know that DLC would indeed hit the system - just later than the other consoles.

"We expect DLC for the Wii U version of Injustice: Gods Among Us to be available this summer," the account said. "Stay tuned for more details."

Other major Wii U ports including Mass Effect 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have gone without DLC released on other platforms - so Injustice committing to releasing DLC there is sure to please fans.

The first batch of Injustice DLC dropped onto Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network this week in the form of Lobo, and will be followed by Batgirl, pictured above. Also planned for release are additional character costumes.
